Fly Fishing Instruction at Siblyback Lake in Cornwall

Fly fishing instruction from Devon County Fly Fishing at Siblyback Lake. Situated on the edge of Bodmin Moor, Siblyback is run by South West Lakes Trust. It is classed as a premier fishery and stocked with rainbow trout averaging 2lb. The record being 10lb 10oz. This lake offers both bank and boat fishing and at 140 acres is good for loch style drifting. On foot it is quite possible to fish the entire perimeter of this lake in a day, which offers a variety of fishing situations; from sandy beach type shore to rocky outcrops and marsh land. Roam the banks taking note of the wind direction as often terestrials will have been blown into the bays and inlets attracting fish. If the wind has been in one direction for several days you will often find the trout shoaled up. This is very much a lake where naturals work well, so match the hatch and keep on the move.
