Competition Fly Fishing

Competition fly fishing is an area of our sport that is attractive to anglers looking to take fly fishing to another level. We are competative by nature, and the art of fly fishing is no different, the will to rise to the occasion and succed is in all of us. So why not give it a try? The catagories are river and stillwater fishing from the bank or loch style fishing from a boat. It can be a social activity at club level making friends and exchanging ideas and learning more about your local waters. It may be that you get more ambitious and wish to take part in county or national competitions. The final challenge would of course be to fish for your country and enter the eliminator competitions. One thing is for sure the competative edge will improve your fishing and make you think about your tactics and plan your strategy. Have a look at the competitions we have taken part in recently, listed in the left column.
